Private Clinic Website Redesign.

PROJECT OVERVIEW.

Private Clinic Website Redesign
  • The product: Private clinic website redesign.
  • The problem: An old-fashioned website that needs to be redesigned: the information architecture and the navigation systems are confusing, navigation choices are not logical, the primary user flows (like online appointments) are not intuitive, the critical paths are not clear, and the homepage does not provide enough information about the services.
  • The goal: Design a responsive website with a clear design and easy user flow. Make the website more up-to-date.
  • My role: UX/UI designer, UX researcher
  • Responsibilities: Conducting interviews, paper, and digital wireframing, low and high-fidelity prototyping, conducting usability studies, accounting for accessibility, and iterating on designs.

User research: summary.

I conducted interviews and created an affinity map from interviews and surveys to better understand the users I’m designing for and their needs. The target audience is quite heterogeneous: from working adults to senior people. Different groups were interviewed but through research, I came to know a highly outdated visual design can negatively impact the user experience. Moreover, confusing user flow makes people leave the website.

Digital wireframes.

At first, it was decided to make the design of the home and a service page. Taking the time to draft iterations of each page, I ensured that the elements were well-suited to address user pain points. Easy navigation was a fundamental user need to address in the designs in addition to clear and straightforward and at the same time informative content.

Usability study.

I conducted two rounds of usability studies. Findings from the first study helped guide the designs from wireframes to mockups. The second study used a high-fidelity prototype and revealed what aspects of the mockups needed refining.

High-fidelity prototype.

The final high-fidelity prototype presented cleaner user flows looking for the service needed, its cost, and information about a doctor.
