Design of a Task Manager SaaS App.
PROJECT OVERVIEW.

- The product: SaaS app task management system.
- The problem: Hard to find attached files, complicated designs with lots of distractive details.
- The goal: Design a SaaS app task management system that will be simple to use and will have a clear design without any distractions.
- My role: UX/UI designer, UX researcher
- Responsibilities: Discovering insights through research, interviewing stakeholders, prototyping user flows, interaction design, UI design, and usability testing.
User research: summary.
I conducted interviews and created an affinity map from interviews and surveys to better understand the users I’m designing for and their needs. I started the research stage by interviewing managers, directors, and individual contributors working at different companies.

- Usability studies
Digital wireframes.
I made sure to base the screen design on feedback and findings from the user research. An easy and clear interface was a key user need to address in the designs.

Usability study.
I conducted two rounds of usability studies. Findings from the first study helped guide the designs from wireframes to mockups. Through testing, I learned which tasks needed to be simplified. I also learned which data our user base preferred to see at a glance vs. what information they are okay with clicking into the task to view more data. The second study used a high-fidelity prototype and revealed what aspects of the mockups needed refining.
